Self-payers and private patients

At Sporthopaedic Hamburg we welcome all patients, regardless of their insurance status. However, most of our therapies are not covered by the statutory health insurance system, so patients with statutory insurance have to pay for them themselves. We do not compromise on the best orthopaedic care and treatment and suggest this therapy to you along with a cost estimate. You decide whether the therapy suits you and is an option for you. With our partner the MediServ Bank, we offer flexible payment options for self-payers and private patients.

Self-payers:
As a self-payer, you have full control over your healthcare. You can access our entire portfolio of treatments and services directly, without having to rely on a referral or authorisation from a health insurer. This gives you a greater choice of treatment options and the freedom to choose the one that is best for you. We offer transparent pricing so you know exactly what costs to expect. Before treatment begins, we will provide you with a detailed cost estimate.

Private patients:
Our therapies and treatments are evidence-based conventional medicine. This means that you are entitled to reimbursement from your private health insurance.

It goes without saying that we are at your disposal for all questions regarding costs and billing and support you with detailed treatment justifications and the latest scientific literature. However, the insurance contract is between you and your insurance company, so you are responsible for asserting your claim for reimbursement.

The treatment contract is concluded between the patient and Sporthopaedic Hamburg and is basically independent of reimbursement by third parties.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need further information. We look forward to helping you improve your health and performance.
